The ethics code is administered by the Ethics Office under the direction of the Ethics Commission.
The Ethics Office oversees how potential ethics complaints are received and assessed for probable cause. If needed investigations may be undertaken to clarify necessary aspects of the complaint. If ordered by the Commission or requested by the respondent being investigated, public hearings may be held. When a complaint has been finally acted upon by the Ethics Commission, the complaint is closed and the relevant documentation is a public record.
These various steps and the policies and procedures which govern them are detailed in this section.
